How Often Should Tire Rotations Be Done?
Regular tire rotations is one of the most common and recommended vehicle maintenance activities an owner should invest in. However, certain vehicles may have different front and rear tire sizes, impacting how rotations are performed and whether they’re even beneficial. Consult with your auto mechanic for their top recommendation.
For those of you who are able to rotate all four or six tires (vehicles with dual rear tires), here are the benefits of keeping up with regular rotations:
- More even tread on tires
- Extended tire life
- Increased safety
- Better performance
- Promotes increased longevity of other components (i.e. wheels, wheel bearings, brakes, etc.)
See the incentive for tire rotations now? If so, tire rotations are recommended to be performed about every six months or between 6,000 to 8,000 driven miles. Please consult your owner’s manual for your specific vehicle recommendation.
