How to Protect Your Tires This Winter

Your tires get you where you need to go, so it’s important you take appropriate and necessary care of them!  

The cool temperatures of winter have a significant impact on tires and if you’re not careful, it could cost you a new set of wheels.

Monitor Tire Pressure

While it’s important to be regularly checking tire pressure throughout the year, it is the most important to check during cool temperatures. A temperature decrease as much as 10 degrees can lessen tire pressure as much as a pound.

Get Your Tires Aligned

Hidden potholes, snow piles, and other winter hazards might tamper with the alignment of your tires. It might be subtle, but this can cause your car to pull to one side of the road, consequently leading to faster tire wear on that side of the car.
